Biographical Info:
Through the years I have been a coach, a crossing guard for my kids, a Booster President, Ways and Means Chairman and a deacon at my church. Professionally, I have been a writer, an actor, a director, a producer, an editor and a marketing director. Additionally, I helped run a small indie music label and managed a rock band from Australia and somewhere in the middle of all that, I helped handle the private label manufacturing for The Power Rangers food products. Prior to my move to California in 1991, I had a short stint as a Quartermaster Army Officer and then went Individual Ready Reserve after Desert Storm. My family has a long history with the US Army and I thought it would be exciting to try something new…Hollywood. I was not disappointed.
Statement:
I am Pro-God, Pro-Family, Pro-Life, Pro-Jobs, Pro-Police and always America First! As an Army veteran, businessman, filmmaker, father, and a Christian, I see great potential for the communities of our district. But at a time when our educators have abandoned our children, our doctors have violated their oaths and our political leadership are shredding our Constitutional Rights on a daily basis, we need someone to stand against this Communist onslaught. We need an advocate to protect our families, our jobs and our communities. We just want to go back to our jobs and schools without restrictions. We want our lives to return to normal! The cost of our gas is the highest in history, our store shelves are increasingly bare, homelessness, drugs and crime plague our neighborhoods. Our children have lost precious classroom time, and many small businesses have closed because of mistaken COVID policies. We need a representative who will support law enforcement and make our District safe and prosperous again. We need a representative who understands our problems and has solutions for them. This district is where my wife and I have raised our kids This is our home. We have invested our lives here. Our church family is here. I want all of us to feel safe and secure. Our God given rights are not negotiable. This is the time for choosing. Will it be freedom and opportunity or fear and hate?

Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Would you (or did you) support the federal "Equality Act" (H.R. 5) creating a protected class for sexual orientation and gender identity be passed into law? N* Years ago, my old Pastor said “If you know what a lawyer knows, you’d be a lawyer. If you know what a doctor knows, you’d be a doctor. When a child knows what an adult knows… They are no longer a child.” From the pornographic images in the “health” books forced on them in elementary school, to drag queen story time, we rob our children of their childhoods by sexualizing them at an early age. We force young minds, who are still just trying to figure out how to tie their shoes, to process adult concepts like “homosexuality” and “transgenderism”. This is both psychologically and emotionally destructive and it is wrong! https://www.cargileforcongress.com/family
2. Would you (or did you) support the federal “Respect for Marriage Act” (H.R. 8404) which requires states to recognize polygamous marriages? N* As a Christian and a family man, I stand for the sanctity of the Biblical definition of Marriage and the protection of the nuclear family. The family unit is the cornerstone of our society, as it goes, so goes the Nation. https://www.cargileforcongress.com/family
3. Should adult citizens be required to pass a background check before buying ammunition? N* “The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Period. This is a “right” endowed by our Creator in the same way the “right” to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness were recognized by our framers in the Declaration of Independence. This includes the ability to purchase ammunition. https://www.cargileforcongress.com/second-amendment
4. Would you (or did you) support a federal law (H.R. 8296) removing nearly all restrictions on abortion procedures throughout pregnancy? N* Life is a gift from God that begins at conception. https://www.cargileforcongress.com/life
5. Should the federal government require public district and charter schools to allow biological boys in girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers, and on female-only sports teams as a condition to receive federal education funding? N* I stand against this war on women! https://www.cargileforcongress.com/family
6. Would you support securing the border by blocking crossings from undocumented migrants? Y* The greatest security measure the United States can have at its Southern border are strong, safe and prosperous neighbors in Mexico and the nations of Central America. However, my approach to immigration is rooted in two things: the Bible and the Law. Almost every issue plaguing our country at this moment can be solved with the simple Biblical principle “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” And it all begins with the completion of the wall... https://www.cargileforcongress.com/immigration
7. Would you support federal judges who apply the original text of the U.S. Constitution according to the framers’ original intent, rather than interpreting it in light of current times? Y* The U.S. Constitution is not a "living and breathing" document. If changes are warranted, then there is an explicit amendment process for it. Otherwise, it is to be applied literally, in it's original context and intent.
8. Would you support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution requiring Congress to balance the federal budget every year? Y* We have to do it for our families. Why not for our country?
9. Would you (or did you) support a law (H.R. 1) requiring the federal government to take over local and state election processes? N* Election integrity is the paramount issue of our time, for from it flow all the other issues plaguing our nation. https://www.cargileforcongress.com/voter-fraud
10. Would you support the filibuster rule that requires 60 votes in the U.S. Senate to pass most legislation? Y
