Meet the Candidate

Running For:
Board of Equalization
Political Affiliation:
NPP
Statement:
Why I'm Running: The State Board of Equalization presides over property taxes, gasoline taxes, business taxes, and sales taxes just to name a few. For years, politicians have been adding on taxes and more taxes, taking advantage of small businesses and individuals with multiple taxation. Your salary is taxed, and then you pay with your AFTER tax dollars, another tax for your purchases. Then the businesses who take your after tax money are also taxed, pay their employees and they are taxed. Is that fair? As an experienced business owner. I understand the struggle. Do you know what the biggest business expense is? It’s taxes! Business taxes are a small business owner's largest expense! Older Americans with a fixed income, are first taxed on their SSI and then pay taxes again for what they buy and again on their property taxes that continue to increase. I am committed to decreasing the tax burden for all of my constituents, especially in these uncertain economic times. I will be your INDEPENDENT voice.
